Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Unload, a browser extension that helps you clean up your Gmail. By installing or using it, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use it.
What Unload does
Unload reads the headers of messages in your Gmail account, groups them by sender, and recommends which senders are safe to unsubscribe from and whose mail is safe to clear. It can then carry out the actions you choose: unsubscribing, creating Gmail filters, and moving mail to Trash.
The recommendations are produced by a statistical model. They are a starting point for your judgement, not a guarantee.
You decide what gets deleted
Unload never deletes anything on its own. Every action runs only after you review a selection and confirm it. Before any bulk deletion, Unload shows you a sample of the messages included so you can check them.
Deleted mail is moved to Gmail's Trash, where Google keeps it for about 30 days and you can restore it. Unload does not empty your Trash and cannot permanently delete mail.
You are responsible for what you confirm. Please review a selection before accepting it, particularly the first time.
Your Google account
Unload works by connecting to your Google account with your permission. You must have the right to access the account you connect. You can withdraw that permission at any time from your Google account permissions page, which immediately ends Unload's access.
How your data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
Use Unload on accounts you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute it, interfere with its operation or security, use it to send unsolicited mail, or use it in a way that breaches Google's terms or any law that applies to you.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to hold a Google account in your country, to use Unload.
Paid plans and refunds
Unload's analysis is free. Bulk actions beyond the free allowance require a paid plan, whose current prices are shown before you purchase. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not receive or store your card details.
If Unload does not work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.
Prices may change. A change never affects a purchase you have already made.
Availability
Unload depends on services we do not control, chiefly Google's Gmail API, which imposes its own rate limits. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We will give reasonable notice before withdrawing something you have paid for, and refund the unused portion of an annual plan if we withdraw it early.
No warranty
Unload is provided as is. We do not warrant that its recommendations will be correct for every sender, that it will be uninterrupted, or that it will suit a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or messages arising from actions you confirmed within the extension. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
This does not limit liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Ending these terms
You may stop using Unload at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its access. We may suspend access if these terms are breached in a way that harms other users or the service.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will update the date above and note the change on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Unload after that means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Gurugram, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
