Privacy policy
Unload is a browser extension that helps you clean up your Gmail. It works entirely inside your browser. Your email never leaves your device, and Unload runs no server that could read it.
Limited Use
Unload's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it. We could not do so if we wanted to: none of it ever reaches us.

Unload never reads the body of your emails. Messages are requested in Gmail's metadata format, which returns headers only. Attachments are never accessed.
Where your data goes: nowhere
Everything Unload does happens in your browser:
- Your browser fetches message headers directly from Google.
- Unload groups them by sender and decides which senders are safe to clear using rules and a list of well-known senders that ship inside the extension. That list is the same for everyone and contains nothing about you.
- When you choose an action, your browser asks Google to carry it out.
No sender, address, subject line or message is sent to Unload or to any third party. Unload has no database and no server that receives your email.
The only exception is one you trigger yourself: when you unsubscribe from a sender that supports one-click unsubscribe, your browser sends that request directly to the sender's own unsubscribe address, as the sender's email instructs. Nothing passes through us.

Unload never receives a refresh token or any credential that would let it reach your mailbox when you are not using it.
Withdrawing access
You can disconnect Unload at any time from your Google account permissions page, which ends its access immediately. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your device. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing further for us to delete.
This website
tryunload.app is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Like any website, requests to it pass through our hosting and network providers, which may keep standard access logs.
Children
Unload is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is read or where it goes, we will update the date above and describe the change on this page before the change takes effect. If Unload ever offers a feature that processes data on a server, it will be optional, described here first, and off unless you turn it on.
